My Real Manifesto! Why I Write!

I don’t think I can do this homeschool thing!! I could never homeschool! What will Sarah and Drew think of me?

Do these words cross your mind? Or even roll off your tongue? Well I have something to tell you!

Yes you can! You can homeschool! If you are called to, that is. You have to know that it is the Lord’s will for you to do this, like anything in life.

Homeschooling is NOT for everyone. Absolutely not!

If you have been called to homeschool your children, then you are anointed to do this. Like anything in life, if we are called to do it, we can do it. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

Tell me one area you most need encouragement in, regarding homeschooling.

Maybe you have well meaning friends and family who question your ability to educate your children. They would rather you at least had a teachers degree. Don’t allow their attitudes to stop you from doing this.

You gotta go with your heart and what the Lord has called you to do.

If you know you are called to walk this road of homeschooling your children, even if only for a short time, don’t be discouraged because others around you don’t understand or because they criticize you.

Hold your head up high! Be bold! And follow God!

Be courageous and know that God will carry you through.

Go with your heart! Do what is right for you and your family. Because it’s you who will be asked ‘Why didn’t you homeschool those children like I suggested?’.

Yes it is hard. I hear you 🙂 Some days are really, tough! But other days are filled with such beauty.

You got this though mama.

You need to connect with other homeschoolers, even if that means via forums, reading blogs, or other online services, rather than face to face. It is vital to have other like minded women to bounce ideas off. We were not made to do this alone.

My hearts desire is to encourage and inspire homeschooling mothers in this amazing journey.

There is so much to be learned! So many memories to be made with our children. So much joy and fun to be had.

Let’s do this together 🙂

To do: let me know what one area you most need encouragement regarding homeschooling.

  1. This is a beautiful article, Nadine. Although I’m not a mother, my Mom was called to homeschool me and my siblings. I am so thankful that she did, because it’s so much more memorable than anything public school could have offered us.
