This year seems to be the most organised yet 🙂 As the girls get older, they become more interested and are better able to work independently, which definitely frees up my time to teach other subjects 🙂 This year we are in grade 4, grade 2 and Prep/Kindergarten. Some of our choices are bound to change as the year progresses, but here is our plan. Our curriculum choices for 2014 are:
Grade 4
Math: Singapore 3A/3B (she is a fair way through this level already) 4A
Reading Instruction: McGuffey Fourth Reader
Spelling: All About Spelling Level 3, begin Level 4 about half way through the year
Grammar: Easy Grammar Grade 3 (we only started this in the later half of 2013)
Writing: Writing With Ease Level 3/4
English: Learning Language Arts Through Literature, Orange
Handwriting: A Reason for Handwriting Book D
Science: Abeka Science Grade 4
Australian History – A few Australian History books from our bookshelves
Grade 2
Math: Singapore 2A/2B
Reading Instruction: McGuffey Second Reader and Reading Eggs (almost finished)
