Frogs, Ant Bridges and What is That? – Nature In Our Own Backyard

These are just two of the six green tree frogs living on our verandah. Each evening, they come out and say hello. My girls have had countless hours enjoying the frogs: their sounds when rain is approaching; watching them catch their dinner; and of course catching and holding them.

My girls thought it would be a rather grand idea to make a bridge for these ants. To my surprise, the ants actually use it!

  1. Those tree frogs hanging out like that are just adorable! And how clever of your daughter to build the bridge–I love that the ants use it despite your skepticism. (I would have been skeptical too! :)) Children are so wonderful that way! 🙂
