Frogs, Ant Bridges and What is That? – Nature In Our Own Backyard

 

 

These are just two of the six green tree frogs living on our verandah. Each evening, they come out and say hello. My girls have had countless hours enjoying the frogs: their sounds when rain is approaching; watching them catch their dinner; and of course catching and holding them.

 

My girls thought it would be a rather grand idea to make a bridge for these ants. To my surprise, the ants actually use it!

 

And what is this caterpillar that she found? It was hiding underneath this large leaf.
